Dental Assistant

The SLO Noor Dental is seeking an RDA or DA with a positive and outgoing personality, a great work ethic, and a desire to help others.

SLO Noor Dental is a non-profit organization providing free dental to uninsured adults. Bring your experience to a great cause and make a real difference in the lives of the patients we serve. We really love what we do for the community and seek a dental assistant that does too!
The position is 16 – 24 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • X-ray license required
  • TB (provided if needed), Hep B Series and Covid Vaccination card.
  • CPR certificate
  • 3-5 years dental assisting experience

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assists in general dentistry, endodontic, oral surgery and periodontal surgery.
  • Prepares and maintains dental instruments, supplies and equipment
  • Prepares dental materials
  • Dental charting.
  • Inventory control and management
  • Delivers personal oral care instructions
  • Takes dental x-rays
  • Takes impressions
  • Adaptation of temporary crowns
  • Etc.

Grants Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Executive Director
TYPE: Non-Exempt

Salary:  $24 / hour
The position is 24 hours per week with flexible hours and schedule. 

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsibilities include working with the Executive Director, the Clinic Directors, the Data Manager, and other staff and volunteers to find and secure grant opportunities.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Seek and secure funding through grant opportunities and funding campaigns for all foundation programs and projects;
  • Oversee the execution of grant activities and aid in the development of services that advance foundation operations in collaboration with clinical leadership and staff;
  • Complete and submit grant reports, communicating with representatives of funding and partner organizations, and;
  • Maintain a grants calendar, grants records and internal reports for reference by clinical leadership and staff.
  • Perform other duties within scope of the position as assigned by the Executive Director

  • Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and GSuite (Gmail, Google Admin, Docs, Sheets).

Nurse Practitioner

$65/hour

The SLO Noor Foundation Health Clinics is seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner for a shift one day (8 hours) per week at it’s SLO medical clinic location. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct primary health care to the presenting adult patients including initial history taking, clinical assessment, patient education, diagnosis, treatment, referrals, prescriptions, and evaluation of care under medical protocols and within scope of practice.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug and non-drug based treatment methods into a management plan.
  • Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols.
  • Work with patients in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments, and provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication regimens, side effects, and interactions.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis. 
  • Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
  • Assess, diagnosis, and implement interventions/treatment for patients with complex needs.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 1) completed an in-state program recognized by the California Board of Registered Nursing as meeting standards; 2) earned certification through an accepted organization; or 3) completed an equivalent program
  • Minimum of two years experience in primary care setting is preferred
  • Bilingual preferred with ability to read, speak, and write in both Spanish and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team
  • Computer aptitude with experience in Electronic Medical Records preferred
