  • JOB TITLE: Dentist
    TYPE: Non-Exempt
    Part-time

    SLO Noor Dental Clinic is looking for a skilled dentist to join our dental family. We are a local nonprofit serving uninsured and low-income adults here on the beautiful Central Coast and are committed to delivering dental treatment in a caring and compassionate manner.

    This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced doctor to practice direct patient care without the pressures of billing, bottom lines, and production. Our practice is a friendly, positive, patient focused setting to help our patients feel supported and cared for.

    General responsibilities:

    • General dentistry
    • Restorative
    • Dentures/Partials
    • Crowns and Bridges
    • Address Periodontal concerns

    Requirements:

    • Licensed dentist in the State of California including current healthcare provider CPR.

    • Supports the mission of SLO Noor Foundation and can offer encouragement to patients.

    • Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    One day per week
    Pay- $100 per hour.
    Up to 8 hours a week

  • REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager TYPE: Non-Exempt

    Salary: $22 / hour 24 hours a week Paid Sick and Holidays

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists medical providers during patient visits and with providing patient education pertaining to their ongoing health care.

    • May act as an interpreter when necessary between patient and provider.

    • Interviews patients to obtain medical information and reason for seeking care; takes vital signs and prepares patients for providers.

    • Performs CLIA waived tests in office laboratory

    • Provides reception, answers phones, takes messages, and schedules appointments.

    • Maintains and adheres to HIPAA, employee confidentiality, and privileged communications (patient, employee, and organization).

    • Perform other duties within scope of the position as assigned by the Executive Director or Manager

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bilingual Required - ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish and English

    • High school diploma or GED required

    • Completion from an accredited school in Clinical Medical Assisting

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team

    • Computer aptitude with experience in Electronic Medical Records preferred

    • Must have a valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record

  • Grants Coordinator

    REPORTS TO: Executive Director

    TYPE: Non-Exempt

    Salary: $26 / hour

    The position is 24 hours per week with flexible hours and schedule.

    JOB OVERVIEW: Responsibilities include finding and securing grant opportunities, writing grant proposals, and coordinating submissions.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Seek and secure funding through grant opportunities and funding campaigns for all foundation programs and projects;

    • Oversee the execution of grant activities and aid in the development of services that advance foundation operations in collaboration with clinical leadership and staff;

    • Complete and submit grant reports, communicating with representatives of funding and partner organizations, and;

    • Maintain a grants calendar, grants records and internal reports for reference by clinical leadership and staff.

    • Perform other duties within scope of the position as assigned by the Executive Director

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and GSuite (Gmail, Google Admin, Docs, Sheets).

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team

    • Ability to take initiative for new responsibilities and projects

    • Ability to exercise considerable tact and judgment when working with sensitive and confidential information

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization skills

    • Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum education requirement of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 4 years of relevant experience.

    • Supports the mission of SLO Noor Foundation.

    • Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Works in a professional manner consistent with standards, missions, and goals of SLO Noor.
