About SLO Noor Foundation Health Clinics: SLO Noor Foundation is a non-profit organization providing free medical, dental and vision care to uninsured adults in San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County, regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsibilities include finding and securing grant opportunities, writing grant proposals, and coordinating submissions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Seek and secure funding through grant opportunities and funding campaigns for all foundation programs and projects;

• Oversee the execution of grant activities and aid in the development of services that advance foundation operations in collaboration with clinical leadership and staff;

• Complete and submit grant reports, communicating with representatives of funding and partner organizations, and;

• Maintain a grants calendar, grants records and internal reports for reference by clinical leadership and staff.

• Perform other duties within scope of the position as assigned by the Executive Director

COMPETENCIES:

• Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and GSuite (Gmail, Google Admin, Docs, Sheets).

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team

• Ability to take initiative for new responsibilities and projects

• Ability to exercise considerable tact and judgment when working with sensitive and confidential information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations in a calm manner

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum education requirement of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 4 years of relevant experience.

• One to three years grant writing experience.

• Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Works in a professional manner consistent with standards, goals, and mission of SLO Noor Foundation.

JOB TITLE: Dental Hygienist (RDH)
TYPE: Non-Exempt
Part-time

SLO Noor Dental is offering part-time employment opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).

We are a non-profit organization that provides dental care  for uninsured and low income adults.

We strive to provide dental treatment in a caring and compassionate manner.

The prevalence of gum disease places the RDH in a unique position to provide patients with an essential health care service.

●    The hygienist assists the dentist in maintaining oral health education, combined with technical skills.

●    Tasks include evaluation, prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root plaining when indicated to establish and maintain periodontal health

Our clinic:

●       Provides staff support for the RDH.

●     Focuses on patient centered care.

●      Creates a friendly, comfortable setting in which the patient can  feel supported and cared for.

●      Maintains an easygoing positive work environment.

8-4, 16 Hours a month, bi-weekly

$65 per hour.
