Next Steps: Dental Care for the Uninsured
Published: March 4, 2020
The SLO Noor Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received $100,000 in funding through Dignity Health’s Community Grants Program! Funding was awarded in support of a project designed to expand dental care access through collaborations between the SLO Noor Foundation, the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, the Central Coast Dental Society, and the Hearst Cancer Resource Center.
Affordable dental care access has become an increasingly recognized concern in the Central Coast, where we face a shortage of dental care providers and facilities, which significantly affects low-income and uninsured individuals according to reports released by both Dignity Health and the US Health and Human Services Department. With the support of Dignity Health, SLO Noor will expand its existing services in addition to offering new services with collaborative partners.
The time to change lives is now! Come join SLO Noor, Dignity Health, and partners in ensuring everyone’s access to compassionate dental care by learning more about the SLO Noor Free Dental Clinic or donate to give an uninsured and low-income neighbor a new smile. Stay tuned for upcoming dental care program updates as we work together to provide dental and healthcare access to all.
